About Us

LifeCleanse of Anoka was started in February of 2008 by Barb Abeler because she saw a need for a colon hydrotherapy clinic in the northern suburbs.

Renee
Renee Bergman
Renee decided to become a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist after experiencing a significant improvement in her own health through colon hydrotherapy. She has completed training on the LIBBE device and is certified through I-ACT.

Renee's background includes a B.S. Degree in Animal Science and Biology. She then attended the John Bastyr College of Naturopathic Medicine in Seattle. She was the office manager for a naturopathic clinic, which incorporated colon hydrotherapy, along with massage, chiropractic, and nutritional therapies.

Renee is married to Gene, has been blessed with 4 children, and has had the privilege of fostering 21 children. Renee's hope is that she can help others discover the many healing benefits of colon hydrotherapy, along with the other inner cleansing modalities available at LifeCleanse.

About Certification

Certification provides consistency and promotes a high standard of care.  Not all colon hydrotherapists are certified.  The International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy is the leading international organization which has set strict standards for training and practice.  There are four levels of certification ranging from Foundational Level I to Level Four Instructors.  An internationally sanctioned test is given to advance to each level.

I-ACTs Mission Statement reads, “The International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) heightens the awareness of the colon hydrotherapy profession, ensures continuing and progressive education in the field of colon hydrotherapy and implements professionalism beyond reproach.”  For further information contact I-ACT at:
I-ACT, P.O. Box 461285, San Antonio, TX  78246-1285;  (210)366-2888; fax (210)366-2999;  http://www.i-act.org - iact@healthy.net

About Minnesota Law

The practice of colon hydrotherapy is allowed under Minnesota’s Alternative and Complementary Practice law and is regulated by the Department of Health.  Persons seeking colon hydrotherapy or other complementary and alternative health services must be provided a Client Bill of Rights by the practitioner.  For more information see Minnesota statute Section 146A or contact the Minnesota Department of Health.
